Bobby Deol was very shy as a child. He didn't like going to school. Recalling these facts, Bobby Deol said, “I was very quiet. I never liked going to school very much. I was not the type of child who did not get into mischief or trouble.”
Recalling his first school crush, Bobby Deol said, “I liked a girl. But I didn't have the guts to talk to her. So I asked a friend of mine, who could easily talk to everyone, to pretend to be me and say 'hello' to her. He went and talked to her. But later he started trying to have a relationship with the girl himself.”
When Bobby Deol was in ninth grade, the incident happened to him. But even after that incident there was no decline in friendship. Recalling this information, Bobby Deol said, “He is still a very good friend of mine. Most of my old friends are still with me.”
Bobby Deol also shared another funny memory of his college life. He said that he liked a girl whose father was seriously ill. The girl came to the library one day and was looking for a blood donor. Referring to these facts, Bobby Deol said, “His father was very ill, and he was coming and asking if anyone could donate blood. I immediately said, 'Yes, I can.' It seemed that something good might come of it. But in the end I could not donate blood.”
Explaining why he couldn't donate blood, Bobby Deol said, “I was sitting and watching others give blood. The needle looked so big that I got scared. When it was my turn, they checked my blood pressure and said, 'I can't donate blood.'” “I said to myself, 'At least I'm here. At least I made the impression I wanted to make,'” says Bobby Deol, laughing.
