3 robbers arrested with weapons and money in Lakshmipur

Coast Guard has arrested dacoit Azim Bepari and his two accomplices along with weapons and eight lakh rupees at Ramgatti in Laxmipur.

Coast Guard media officer Lt. Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan gave this information on Saturday (June 6) afternoon.

Others detained are – Md. Bashir (40) and Rabbi (16). They are residents of Ramgati police station.

Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan said, “A special operation was conducted on the basis of secret information in Meghna River near Janata Bazar under Ramgati police station. Notorious dacoit Azim Bepari and his two accomplices were arrested from that area. Based on the information of the arrested persons, a domestic single-barreled gun, three rounds of fresh cartridges and eight lakh cash in cash were recovered.

He said, “Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to stabilize the law and order situation in the country.”
