Van driver killed by bus in Gopalganj

A van driver named Ayub Khan (55) was killed by a bus in Gopalganj. Two passengers of the van were injured.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopinathpur area of ​​Gopalganj Sadar upazila on Monday (June 1) afternoon. The deceased Ayub Khan is the son of Barek Khan of Boalia village of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila.

Gopinathpur police investigation center in charge (inspector) Md. Momenul Islam confirmed the information of the deceased in the accident.

Inspector said. Momenul Islam said that a passenger bus of Dola Paribahan bound for Pirojpur from Dhaka reached Gopinathpur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a van hit the vehicle. Ayub Khan, the driver of the van, was killed on the spot and two passengers of the van were injured.

On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and rescued the injured and took them to Gopalganj General Hospital. Two seriously injured have been admitted to hospital. The body of the deceased has been sent to the morgue for post-mortem.
