Police initially believe that mother Iti Rani committed suicide by killing her two daughters in Dak bungalow of Barguna Zilla Parishad. But the relatives say, it is a planned murder.
Police recovered the bodies of Iti Rani, her two daughters Aradha Biswas (12) and Anuradha Biswas (3) from Dak Bungalow on Wednesday (June 3) around 5:30 pm.
Iti Rani, wife of Dulal Chandra Biswas of Kalibari area of Barguna municipality, worked as a nanny in the office bungalow of the Zilla Parishad headquarters. He came to work on Wednesday (June 3) morning as usual. He brought his two daughters Aradha Biswas and Anuradha Biswas with him.
After finding the doors of two rooms on the third floor of the Zilla Parishad's caretaker's bungalow locked from the inside, they informed the Zilla Parishad and informed the police. The police came and broke the door and found the dead bodies of Iti Rani and her younger daughter Anuradha Biswas in a room. Aradha broke the door of another room and recovered Biswas' body.
Barguna Superintendent of Police Kudrat-e-Khuda said that the police immediately reached the spot and found dead bodies of the mother and two daughters from a separate room after breaking the door.
“We found some sleeping pills and five sleeping pills near the dead body,” said the Superintendent of Police. Besides, the door was locked from inside. So initially I thought it was suicide.''
However, the relatives say that mother Iti Rani brought the two girls from home on Wednesday (June 3) morning after cleaning the bungalow. They claimed it was a planned murder.
Iti Rani's husband Dulal Chandra Biswas told RisingBD, “There was no family feud. I was living a normal life. There was no such reason as suicide. My wife and children did not commit suicide, it was a planned murder.”
Arriving at the scene, District Administrator Nazrul Islam Mollah told reporters that he found out that Iti Rani may have committed suicide by killing her two daughters because of the debt taken from the NGO.
CID forensic team from Patuakhali has left for the spot. Evidence will be collected and the body will be sent to the General Hospital morgue.
The relatives rejected it as it was assumed to be suicide before the investigation of the incident. Zilla Parishad Dakbungalow has CCTV footage. They demanded a deep investigation of this incident.
