US President Donald Trump has dismissed criticism of his unconventional approach to the Iran conflict. He said, as the actual situation changes, his position also changes.
He said this in an interview on the 'Pod Force One' program on Tuesday (June 2) night.
Trump said, “It's fine if they're confused and the Iranians are confused. But no, I'm like that. It changes. I can give you an answer on the way out of here and then 20 minutes later go into the Oval Office and realize that my answer is wrong. Real situations change and things change quickly.”
The US president described war against Iran as his own decision, which he could not delay.
Trump said, “I couldn't, I know, because it's very important. If I had done that, they would have had nuclear weapons. Two weeks after the B-2 bomber attack they would have had nuclear weapons. So if I had done that, they would have had nuclear weapons.”
Trump described the unprovoked attack as a necessary “operation”.
“They won't have nuclear weapons, a lot of good things will happen,” he said of the gains from the Iran war.
