When Chhabiha's body was taken home, the relatives burst into tears.
A child named Chabiha Khanam (5) died after being hit by a train in Kashiani, Gopalganj.
The incident took place in Byaspur Dakshinpara village of Maheshpur union of the upazila on Saturday (June 6) morning. The deceased Chabiha is the daughter of Shipon Fakir of the same village.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kashiani police station. Mahfuzur Rahman said that Chabiha fell on the railway line next to the house while playing. Meanwhile, a boy coming from Gopalganj to Rajshahi was hit by a train and he died on the spot Later, the family members took Chhabiha's body home.
He also said that the incident has already been reported to Rajbari Railway Police. Further legal action will be taken after they arrive.
