On the occasion of World Environment Day, Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) candidate Ariful Islam distributed tree saplings among students in three schools in Mirpur of the capital on Sunday (June 7).
He said, “Children are the future of the country. As a result of distributing tree saplings among them, they will be aware of the environment, nature and the responsibilities of the citizens. We want to protect Dhaka from pollution, encroachment and burning in the future and build it as a livable and fair city.”
The sapling distribution program was attended by NCP Joint Member Secretary Abdullah Mansoor, Imran Naeem, Co-Organizing Secretary Rana Khan, Rehana Ruma, Member Tahmeena Juthi, Jhummari Shipa, Tanveer Ahmed, Afrin Rimi Russell Sardar and many others.
