A video of activists of the banned organization Chhatra League by burning tires on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Gopalganj has spread on social media. Today Wednesday (May 03) at noon near Dola Pump of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway, the leaders and activists of Gopalganj District Chhatra League.
Police say it may have been an old VVO or the incident took place within 1-2 minutes.
In the video spread on social media, it was seen that the leaders and activists are protesting on the Dhaka-Khulna highway under the leadership of Gopalganj district Chhatra League leader Himel. At this time they gave different slogans. Among the slogans were 'Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu', 'We need Sheikh Hasina's government again and again', 'Sheikh Hasina is not afraid, she has not left the highway', 'We will take Yunus' skin,' etc.
Several vehicles got stuck when activists blocked the highway by burning tires. When the police went to the spot after receiving the information, they did not find anyone.
Superintendent of Police of Gopalganj in this regard. Habibullah said, “Looking at the video, it seems that it is earlier. However, they were not there for more than 1/2 minute. The police went and found them nowhere.”
He said that the matter is being investigated.
