On the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, people have started leaving the capital. The capital's bus terminals have not yet seen full passenger pressure. But many are sending the women and children of the family first. Those whose children are out of school, are going home without a hitch.
On Saturday (May 23), Gabtoli bus terminal of the capital is seen, the pressure of Eid Yatra passengers is relatively less. Managers of the counter say that from May 25, the advance ticket will be more expensive, from that day the pressure of Eid Yatra passengers will increase.
Shakib Hasan, a private employee, has come to send family members home to Kushtia village at Gabtali bus terminal. He told TimesBD, “There is no extra pressure today, the counters are completely empty. We had advance tickets. I think this Eid journey will be a relief. If every year the administration and transport owners kept everything in order like this, then the joy of the common people returning home would be doubled.”
Rangpur-bound Yatri University students said similar relief. Ariful Islam Shaon. He told TimesBD, “The pressure on passengers is less today. The fare fixed from the counter is being kept. I heard that there is no big jam on the road so far. If I can reach properly, then this Eid trip will be one to remember.''
Gabtali Sohag Paribahan Counter Master Md. Asif told TimesBD, “So far there is no pressure on passengers. Tickets are being charged at the government fixed fare.
Ripon Mia, manager of Patuakhali-bound Sakura Paribahan, told TimesBD, “Advance tickets are issued from the 25th. Those who are going now are ordinary passengers. Passenger pressure will increase after two-three more. After increasing the price of fuel, government fixed rent is being charged.
