BNP leader Rashed Khan claimed that Jamaat and NCP took advantage in the elections by using the money given in the name of development allocation during the interim government and thus they won 77 seats.
He claimed this in a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday (June 1).
Rashed Khan said, “Yesterday, Jamaat leader Taher Bhai said that he took Tk 120 crore allocation for his seat during the interim government. Just like this, the interim government allocated billions of Tk for the election of Jamaat-NCP leaders. That is why Dr. Muhammad Yunus engineered the development allocation in this way to win Jamaat-NCP.”
In the post, he also said, “Why did Hasnat Abdullah get Tk 10 crore for the development of Debidwar upazila from the funds of the Zilla Parishad during the interim government? Was he an adviser or in any government position at that time? Since the interim government was in charge, it was the responsibility of the government concerned to develop equally in all the upazilas of the country. But how did the neutral government allocate this development through political leaders? And if the allocation was to be given through political leaders, why did the BNP-Ganaadhikar Parishad leaders get it?” No?”
Rashed Khan commented, “Taher-Hasnat Saheb managed to sell so many election campaigns. But the leaders of other parties could not. That is why the party which got the maximum 18 seats in the past has now been able to buy 77 seats with the development allocation money of the interim government!”
This leader of BNP also mentioned, “Taher-Hasnat-Asif Saheb has committed a great discrimination, corruption and crime by deceiving other upazilas and taking development allocation money only to their own area. This is unforgivable. However, the Hasnats who want to sustain Sheikh Hasina on Facebook to mislead the people. The interim government has done wrong by giving such an allocation through a political leader. It is necessary to investigate and prosecute them for 18 months.”
