Allegation of child molestation in Tongi

A six-year-old child has been accused of molestation in Tongi, Gazipur. Against a young man named Abdul Vijay Howladar (18). He is absconding since the incident. The incident took place on Saturday (June 6) night.

According to local residents, Vijay took the child to his home after promising to give him food. He called the child there. After returning home, the child told the details of the incident to the family members. Later, when his physical condition deteriorated, the family quickly admitted him to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The child is currently undergoing treatment there.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tongi East Police Station. Mehdi Hasan said that the police was sent to the spot after receiving the complaint. The matter is being seriously investigated and necessary legal action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.
