BNP leader dies of electrocution in Bogra

A BNP leader named Nazrul Islam (42) died due to electrocution in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogra. The accident took place on Saturday (June 6) at noon in the Domonpukur area of ​​the upazila.

The deceased was a resident of Domonpukur area of ​​Nazrul Islam upazila. He was a member of Shajahanpur Upazila BNP and the organizing secretary of Ward No. 7 BNP of Majhira Union.

Shajahanpur Upazila BNP Youth Affairs Secretary Atahar Ali Qayyum confirmed the political identity of the deceased. He informed that Nazrul Islam was active in party activities. He was imprisoned several times while participating in political programs.

Ashiq Iqbal, OC of Shajahanpur police station, said that Nazrul Islam was repairing electricity cables in the house under construction. At that time he was electrocuted and seriously injured. Later, he was quickly taken to Shajahanpur Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
