The frenzy has started among the fans and supporters before the curtain of the World Cup. An exceptional incident happened in Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar gave wind to this madness. A young man named Imran Khan has officially joined the Argentina supporters group after leaving his long-standing support for Brazil.
On Saturday (June 6) in Rajnagar upazila, he was welcomed by bathing him with milk in the organization of 'Argentina Fans Group of Moulvibazar'.
Imran Khan, who joined the Argentina camp, said that he had been supporting Brazil as his favorite team for a long time. But, from the Copa America to the World Cup, Brazil has shown one failure after another. Saddened by the team's successive defeats and disappointing performances, he decided to withdraw support.
He said, “Every time I have supported Brazil with full hopes, but they have disappointed me time and again. So, I have left the support of this team and joined the Argentina supporters camp from now on.”
Argentina fans group of Moulvibazar organized various programs throughout the day. In the morning, the fans wished their favorite team by cutting the cake. Rajnagar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Vipul Shikdar, Rajnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Farid Uddin Ahmad Bhuiyan, UP Chairman Zubair Ahmad Chowdhury and BNP leader Abdul Qayyum Bakul etc.
At the end of the discussion meeting, a colorful rally was taken out with the playing of musical instruments. The rally circumambulated various important roads of the upazila. At this time, fans-supporters express their love for their favorite team by dancing and singing.
Fuad Ahmed Murad, admin of Argentina Fans Group of Moulvibazar, said, “We are thrilled with the dream of winning the World Cup for the fourth time. We are organizing this event to wish our beloved team. However, the most interesting and exceptional thing in this event was that a Brazil fan joined our team after bathing in milk. We welcomed him.”
On June 11, the football world cup is going to go up. This fight for excellence in the world of football will continue until July 19. In the meantime, the entire township is trembling with football fever, one of which was the incident in Rajnagar.
