A policeman named Ariful Islam (40) died in a collision between two motorcycles in Mymensingh.
The accident took place on Saturday (June 6) in the Dhaka Bypass area of ​​the city. Deceased Ariful Islam is the son of Azizur Rahman of Durgapur Upazila of Netrokona. He was working in Mymensingh District Police.
Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Police Camp Incharge (SI) Jabaidul Islam confirmed the death in a motorcycle accident.
He said that Ariful Islam was riding a motorcycle towards Dhaka bypass. At that time, another speeding motorcycle from behind hit him. Ariful Islam fell from the motorcycle and suffered serious head injuries. Locals admitted him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital around 2 pm. He died while undergoing treatment around 3 pm.
Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shibirul Islam said that the body of policeman Ariful Islam has been handed over to his relatives. Legal action is under process in this incident.
