'Bookworm' floating in praise

On the occasion of Eid, like every year, numerous dramas have been aired on YouTube and television. But even among that crowd, the exceptional story drama 'Bookworm' has caught the attention of the audience. A blend of social reality, literary love and heart touching love story, the drama is getting huge response from the audience.

Based on the story of Akbar Haider Munna, the screenplay of the play was written by Liman Ahmed. Directed by Tapu Khan. Khairul Basar and Sadnima Binte Noman played the two main roles in the play. Their chemistry on screen has mesmerized the audience.

The play 'Boi Poka' was released on Club Eleven Entertainment's YouTube channel on June 2. Going beyond the conventional trend-based comedy dramas, the romantic story set in a family atmosphere quickly won a place in the hearts of the audience. In just four days of its release, the play was enjoyed by nearly 9 lakh viewers. Most of the viewers in the comment room praised the drama for its story, production style and acting.

Producer Tapu Khan said about the play, “In the play 'Book Bug' we have tried to highlight the negative effects of social media and the growing addiction of people. At the same time there is also a message to interest the new generation in books and literature. From the time of production, we believed that the audience will like the play. It is really good to get a positive response from the audience after the release.”

Storyteller Akbar Haider Munnar commented, “Nowadays, people's fantasy around social media has increased a lot. As a result, family and social relationships are getting damaged. Along with this, people's interest in reading books and literature is also decreasing. The idea of the story is about these issues. The audience has accepted the play, this is the biggest achievement.”

Khairul Basar, who played the lead role in the drama, said, “Boi Poka' is a truly unique work. Its dialogues are very touching. Thanks Tapu Bhai for bringing such a story to the screen.”

Actress Sadnima bint Noman also expressed her excitement about the drama. He said, “I will remember the experience of working in the play 'Boi Poka' for a long time. I especially felt a kind of love for my character.”

Azizul Hakeem, Munira Yusuf Memi, Abdullah Rana and Rozi Siddiqui also acted in the play 'Boi Poka'. Tariq Anam Khan was seen in a special role.

As opposed to social media addiction, 'Bookworm' has proved that good stories and sincere productions can still reach deep into the hearts of the audience.
