Gal Gallants with Liton in the team, 'Bangladesh your star has arrived'

Liton Das became the third cricketer of Bangladesh to get a team in the Lankan Premier League (LPL). Bangladesh T20 team captain has been bought by Gaul Gallants. Gaol Gallants reported that the keeper-batsman has been drafted into the team before the players' draft.

“Bangladesh, your star has arrived,” Gall Gallants wrote about Liton in the team. Liton Das is all set to light up the 2026 LPL for Gaul Gallants.'

Three cricketers from Bangladesh have got the team so far. Former captain and left-arm spinning all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and experienced pacer Taskin Ahmed will play for Jaffna Kings.

Liton will play in the LPL for the second time. In 2024, Gaul played three matches for the Titans. He scored 34. Besides IPL, CPL, Global T20 in Canada, Liton has played. He got a chance in the Karachi Kings team but could not play in the PSL due to injury.

Shakib has played LPL only once before. His team in 2023 was Gaul Titans. Taskin made his LPL debut the following year. Played for Colombo Strikers. This time three stars of Bangladesh will play in LPL. Besides, there are about a dozen names of players in the players' draft.

The draft of the sixth season of the tournament will be held on Monday. The five-team tournament will begin on July 17. It will end on August 8.
