Dhakai cinema megastar Shakib Khan always likes to break himself. His main goal now is to present modern and world-class movies to the audience. But every time he hits the screens in a new form, a group of critics are also ready with a barrage of negative comments. Now this top hero told the success story of his new mission and movie with a strong reply to those critics.
Shakib Khan expressed anger and confidence at a press conference organized on the occasion of the special screening of the much awaited film 'Rockstar' on Thursday (June 5). In the press conference, Shakib Khan spoke about his past few years of work and the struggle behind the movie.
Shakib Khan said, “You may have seen for a few years whether someone likes it or not – I try my best. I present as many world-class films as possible in different genres, different stories. I always try to deliver world-class films to the world court as much as possible with my work and everyone around me.”
The megastar recalled that even before the release of the mega projects of his career, a section of people had been doing negative publicity. But the audience responded to everything at the box office. Citing an example, Shakib Khan said, “When I did 'Priyatma', a group still said – 'Old look, the movie won't work'. But it was an evergreen hit, people loved it.”
Talking about the movie 'Toofan', Shakib Khan said, “When I did 'Toofan', Rafi's first action oriented movie, a hardcore action movie. From a romantic movie to a super duper action movie. So, Toofan also became a super duper blockbuster movie.”
Shakib's character in the movie 'Barbaad' was criticized negatively. Shakib also recalled that. He said, “When I did 'Barbaad', it said – 'Brother only takes drugs and cocaine! Society will be destroyed, this will happen, the movie will not run for a day'. You have seen the movie 'Barbaad' too, superduper; a blockbuster movie.”
Defying all the obstacles and criticisms of the past, Shakib Khan has come up with a new project. Expressing optimism about the movie 'Rockstar', this star said, “This time I tried a little.”
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the movie 'Rockstar' was released in theaters. Directed by Azman Russo, Shakib Khan played the role of a rock star named Agun. She is accompanied by Sabila Noor, Tanzia Zaman Mithila, Sunidhi Naik and others.
