A life was trapped between the two buildings. There is no way out. There was no provision of food or water. The animal was screaming one after another, only wanting to survive. Finally, the dog was rescued alive by the fire service after an hour long suffocating operation.
The incident took place between the buildings of Khandkar Brothers and Harun Auto Parts in the auditorium area of Hatibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
According to local sources, the dog got stuck in the space just a few inches in the middle of the building. It is believed that the animal entered the narrow gap in search of food or during movement and could not get out. Even after almost a day passed, he was not released. At this time, Harun, the owner of Harun Auto Parts, went to find the source of the dog's pitiful screams.
He saw the dog stuck between the two buildings in a helpless state. By that time, the animal was slowly getting weaker as all the ways out on its own were blocked.
Harun said that the people first reported the matter to the fire service. The members of the fire service quickly reached the spot after receiving the news. A breathtaking operation began to rescue the dog alive. The rescue operation was quite challenging due to the narrow space. The rescue operation went on for about an hour with extreme caution. Finally, the fire service personnel were able to break a part of the wall and cross all obstacles to rescue the dog safely.
Shaheen Khan, a firefighter of the fire service, said, “On receiving the information, we went to the spot and rescued the dog. Although a part of the wall had to be demolished.”
