
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that people will not have to spend any money to get corona vaccination. He said that 80 percent of the people of the country will be vaccinated in stages. The finance minister said this in the budget speech yesterday. The finance minister said that the government will provide the necessary funds for the purchase of vaccines. We will allocate necessary funds for the purchase of vaccines in the budget. In the proposed budget speech for the fiscal year 2021-22, the finance minister said that the government is planning to vaccinate 25 lakh people every month to control the ongoing corona epidemic. The finance minister also said that 80 percent of the people of the country will be vaccinated in stages. In the proposed budget, the finance minister mentioned the plan to import vaccines from Russia at the government level.
Along with this, the minister informed about the import of vaccines from Pfizer, France and Belgium Sanofi and GSK companies. The finance minister said that one and a half billion US dollars will be available to continue the vaccination program of the government. The government has taken measures to purchase 30 million doses of Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine from Serum Institute of India to protect people during the pandemic. However, since the epidemic situation in India has worsened recently, the country has stopped exporting the vaccine. In the proposed budget speech, he said, Bangladesh will get 68 million doses of vaccine under the Kovacs facility through the World Health Organization. Of this, 1.06 lakh doses of vaccine have already reached the country. In this way, 3 crore 40 lakh people of the country will be vaccinated, which is 20 percent of the total population of the country.
