Convenor of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP and State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque said, “We want exemplary punishment and hanging in Ramisa's murder. The people of the country also want that. But a group is trying to create chaotic situation in various places by inciting this incident.”
He said these things in the president's speech at a joint meeting organized at the Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP office at Pallabi in the capital on Friday (May 22).
“Their intention is not justice, but to create unrest,” he said.
Aminul Haque alleged, “A group is trying to heat up the situation through propaganda, lies and inflammatory slogans.”
At this time, he urged the activists to be careful about Jamaat.
The state minister said, “For 17 long years you have been agitating and fighting against dictatorship. Now everyone should be careful about Jamaat. They are secretly organized and trying to confuse and harm people.”
He said, “We believe in freedom of speech and democratic expression. But if anyone takes advantage of that freedom and tries to create mischief or chaos, then strict action will be taken against them. No one will be spared.”
Addressing the leaders and workers of his party, he said, “Wherever there is an attempt to create chaos, there should be strong resistance. Whoever the wrongdoer may be, he cannot be tolerated.”
