Zayed Khan, an expatriate actor from the United States, surprised everyone with a different news. The second installment of his short film 'Immigrant Diaries' will feature Zohran Kwame Mamdani, the current mayor of New York City.

John Kabir and Saad Al Amin directed this short film about the struggle, dreams and reality of expatriate life. The first episode released in March this year was well received by the audience. In continuation of that, the second episode will be released on May 27, Bangladesh time at 9 pm.

On the experience of working with the mayor of New York, Zayed Khan said, “It is undoubtedly an honor to work on the same screen with the mayor of one of the most important cities in the world. It is not only my personal achievement, but I think it is also an honor for the red-green flag of Bangladesh.”

Zayed Khan said, Ruhin Hossain and Anuva Shaheen Hossain of US-based organization 'Thikana' played an important role in involving Mayor Mamdani in this project. It was on their initiative that the mayor's office was contacted. Later the shooting time was fixed by the mayor. Later, as per the plan, the work is completed.

Recounting the shooting experience, Zayed Khan said, “Despite being such a big public figure, he was very sincere and cooperative. He listened carefully to the director's instructions and tried to make the scenes perfect. He seemed to enjoy the whole thing.”

The new episode of 'Immigrant Diaries', created with the life struggles, reality and dreamy stories of expatriates, has already created increased curiosity among the audience.
