3 killed in bus-truck collision in Kushtia

Three people were killed in a collision between a bus and a truck in Kushtia's Khoksa. 20 people were injured in this incident.

The accident took place on the Kushtia-Rajbari highway in front of Shimulia Dakshin Kuthipara Mosque in Khoksar at around 11:30 am on Saturday (May 23).

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kushtia Highway Police Station Abu Obaid informed the death in the accident. He could not immediately reveal the names of the victims.

Police and witnesses said that a passenger bus (Dhaka Metro B-13 0093) from Rajbari to Kushtia collided with a dump truck going to Pangsha from Kushtia. At this time the bus overturned and fell into the pond. Three people died on the spot. Local people rescued the injured and took them to Khoksa Upazila Health Complex and 250-bed General Hospital.
