Eid congregation with five people in Rajshahi

Eid-ul-Azhar congregation was held with five people in a mosque in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi. This congregation is held in conjunction with Saudi Arabia. There were three men and two women in the prayer.

This Eid congregation was held at Krishnapur Muslim Jama Masjid in Krishnapur area of ​​Puthia upazila on Wednesday (May 27) at 8 am. Local resident Rahim Gazi led the congregation.

Those who gathered for Eid congregation said that they have been gathering Eid congregation every year. Earlier, according to the traditional rules of the country, they performed Eid prayers by looking at the moon, but now they are happy to perform Eid prayers in accordance with Saudi Arabia.

Imam Rahim Gazi of the Jamaat said, “People think Eid is happening in Saudi Arabia, so we are having Eid here, but it is not the case. The moon does not rise only for Bangladesh or Saudi Arabia; the moon rises for the whole world. The day the moon rises, the new month basically begins. Since the earth's circumference is very large, the moon cannot be seen from all countries at the same time. It is our failure to see, but the presence of the moon is true.”
