A young man was killed in a clash between two parties and back stabbing in Pahartali Islampur area of ​​Cox's Bazar municipality. Two people were seriously injured.
The clash took place on Tuesday (June 2) around 11:30 pm. The deceased Md. Hriday (28) is the son of Sirajul Islam of Dakshin Medhakchhapia area of ​​Chakaria upazila.
The injured are Ashraf Prakash Asif (28), a resident of Islampur's Babul Ghona area, and Ashraful Islam (20), a resident of Pahartali Islampur Mosque.
Citing local residents, the police said that due to the previous dispute, the two sides had a conflict. At this time, both parties exchanged stabbings. Hridoy, Ashraf and Ashraful were injured.
When the injured were taken to Cox's Bazar District Sadar Hospital, the doctor on duty declared Hriday dead. Two injured persons are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Doctors said their condition is serious.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Mohammad Ali said that the police visited the spot after receiving the information. An operation is underway to uncover the true cause of the incident and to identify and arrest those involved.
He also said that the process of taking legal action in this incident is ongoing.
