'Banlata Express' does not stop even after the incident of obstruction at the exhibition in Brahmanbaria. Rather, as a part of the protest against cultural narrowness, this film has been featured in a special film exhibition in Cox's Bazar.
The popular film 'Banlata Express' which was released on the Eid of Ramadan is now in discussion again. The movie directed by Tanim Noor has taken place in a special film event in Cox's Bazar after the incident of blocking the screening of the movie in Brahmanbaria.
Cox's Bazar Film Society has organized a two-day film exhibition titled 'Cox's Bazar Talkies' on June 5 and 6. Four full-length films and two documentaries will be screened at the event held at the Shaheed Subhash Public Library Auditorium. As the final film, 'Banlata Express' will be shown on June 6 at 6:30 pm.
The leaders of Cox's Bazar Film Society said in a press conference organized on Wednesday (June 3), that it is not just a film exhibition; Rather, it is a symbolic stand against the recent restrictions on art and cultural practices.

Yasir Arafat, general secretary of the organization, said, “Art is for everyone. Nowadays, movies have become a part of people's daily life. So there is no chance to keep the new generation away from cinema and culture.”
Mezbaur Rahman Sumon's 'Hawa' will be screened on the first day of the festival on June 5 at 3 pm. It will be followed by Shaheen Dil-Riaz's docu-fiction 'The Projectionist' and Mohammad Tawqi Islam's 'Delupi'.
On the second day, Dhruv Haasan's 'Fatima' will be screened on June 6 at 3 pm. Fazle Rabbi's short film 'Tadatm Anveshan: The Internal Journey' will be screened next. And in the final event, 'Banlata Express' will come in front of the audience.
Daily ticket price to participate in the exhibition is kept at 100 taka. Ticket price for students is Rs. There will be an opportunity to collect tickets through both online and offline modes.
