EB is going on a 23-day holiday on Eid, the hall will be closed for 15 days


The Islamic University (IB) is going on a long 23-day vacation on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation. Classes, examinations and office activities of the university will be closed from May 23 to June 10.

However, as there is a weekend on 21st and 22nd May, the vacation is actually starting two days earlier in the university. Apart from this, since June 11 and 12 is a weekend, the university classes and examinations will resume from June 13.

This information was informed in an office order signed by the acting registrar Abdul Quader who is in charge of routine duties of the university. The office order also informed that the emergency services of the university will be operational during the vacation period. In this, the activities of medical, water, electricity, ICT cell, security and estate branches will continue.

Meanwhile, the Provost Council said that the residential halls will be closed for a total of 15 days from May 23 to June 7. According to the council's decision, the residential students have been directed to vacate the hall by 10 am next Saturday (May 23).

Hall Provost Council President Professor Jalal Uddin said, “Due to the Eid holiday, the residential halls will be closed from 23 May 10 am to 7 June 10 am. Notice will be given to students in each hall.”

Incidentally, although there are no holidays on May 30 and 31 according to the university calendar, the vice-chancellor has included these two days under additional holidays.
