The judgment of the case filed in connection with the rape and murder of eight-year-old Ramisa Akhter in Dhaka's Pallavi is on June 7.

On Thursday (June 4), Dhaka Metropolitan Child Violence Prevention Tribunal Judge Masrur Salekin fixed this day for the court verdict.

The day of presentation of arguments in the murder case discussed today was fixed. In the morning, the accused Sohail Rana and his wife Sapna Akhtar were produced in the court.

The testimony of this case ended last Tuesday. The court took the testimony of 16 out of 17 witnesses. On the previous day, the same court ordered the trial to be started by framing charges against the accused.

On May 19 last afternoon, the police recovered the body of baby Ramisa from a flat in B Block of Section 11 of Pallabir.

According to the police, 32-year-old Sohel, a resident of the neighboring flat, cut the child's throat and severed the head from the body. Then the sublet of the flat ran away by cutting the grill. However, his wife Swapna was staying at Akta's house.

Police arrested Swapna from home. Later in the evening, Sohail was arrested from Fatulla in Narayanganj.

On the same day, Ramisa's father Abdul Hannan Mollah filed a case at Pallabi police station accusing the two. Accused Sohail Rana pleaded guilty and gave a statement in court.

After investigating the case, on May 24, the investigating officer, SI Ahiduzzaman of Pallabi police station, submitted the charge sheet against the two in the court.
