Youth murder in Gandaria: Accused arrested within 12 hours

RAB arrested the main accused in the stabbing death of a youth named Abdul Mannan (30) in Gandaria of the capital within 12 hours. The arrested person has been identified as Rajan Dewan Suman alias Bagha (27).

He was arrested from South Keraniganj area of ​​Dhaka district on Monday (June 8) afternoon. RAB-10 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police and Acting Company Commander SM Hasan Siddiqui said this.

According to RAB-10, about a week before Eid-ul-Azha, there was an argument with Rajan Dewan Suman alias Bagha, the friend of Abdul Mannan, about personal matters. Abdul Mannan was on his way to Mir Hazir Bagh Mess for lunch last Sunday. At that time, he saw Rajan Dewan Suman and others beating a madman. If this is interrupted, they start arguing and fighting.

At one stage, due to previous enmity, Rajan Dewan Suman hit Abdul Mannan with a sharp knife under his left leg. He suffered serious bleeding injuries and collapsed on the spot. Later local people rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

In this incident, the elder sister of the deceased filed a case at Gendaria police station as the plaintiff. RAB has arrested Rajan Dewan Sumon on the basis of the case.
