A.League’s founding anniversary is banned under tight security!


In Faridpur, despite the strict security of the army and the vigilant presence of law and order forces, allegations have been made against the banned district Chhatra League for holding a program on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of Awami League. It is reported that the program was held on Tuesday (June 23) at 12:01 PM at the city’s Government Rajendra College premises. Wide discussion has started in the political arena and social media in this incident.


It is reported that a team of the army entered Faridpur city on Monday (June 22) evening to control the possible law and order situation centered on the founding anniversary of Awami League. The administration informed that the army has been deployed for a week to ensure public safety and avoid any untoward situation. Meanwhile, allegations have been made that the founding anniversary of Awami League was celebrated in Rajendra College area at midnight.


In a video of 40 seconds published on the Facebook ID of Syed Tamjidul Rashid Chowdhury Rian, president of Faridpur District Chhatra League, it can be seen that the activists of Rajendra College Branch Chhatra League participated in the program under the banner of District Chhatra League. All participants in the video are seen wearing black masks. They chanted various slogans including ‘Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu’ and cut the cake on the occasion of the foundation anniversary.


Meanwhile, Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mahmudul Hasan’s official mobile number was tried several times but no statement was received. He did not answer the phone.


Incidentally, around the founding anniversary of Awami League, special surveillance has been strengthened by the administration to keep the law and order situation normal in different parts of the country. Apart from the army, other law and order forces have also been put on alert in Faridpur.
