Death of father and son due to electrocution

Father and son died due to electrocution in Bahubal, Habiganj. The accident took place at Purva Bhadeshwar village of Bahubal upazila on Friday (May 5) afternoon.

The deceased are – Md., a resident of Purva Bhadeshwar village of Bahubal upazila. Ainuddin and his son Rashed Mia. Bahubal Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Ikhtiyar Uddin confirmed this information.

Locals said that Ainuddin was working on an electric pump to irrigate a pond near the house. At that time, he was electrocuted when he accidentally fell into the sink with an electric wire. When his son Rashed Mia came forward to rescue his father, he was also electrocuted and seriously injured. Later local people quickly rescued them and took them to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex. There, the doctor declared the father and son dead after the examination.
