Exports from Israel's defense sector will grow by nearly 30 percent to a record $19.2 billion in 2025. The Israeli Ministry of Defense reported this information on Tuesday (June 2).
Israel's defense exports have broken records for the fifth time in a row, more than doubling in five years and quadrupling in a decade, the ministry said.
“Israel's defense industries signed hundreds of new contracts worldwide throughout the year with the support and guidance of the Ministry of Defense, with a total value of $19.2 billion. More than half (53 percent) of these contracts were mega-deals, each worth $100 million or more,” the ministry said in a statement.
“Missiles, rockets and air defense systems remained at the top in 2025, accounting for more than one-quarter (29 percent) of total contracts,” the ministry added.
According to it, surveillance and optronics systems accounted for 22 percent and radar and electronic warfare accounted for 11 percent of the export deals.
As Israel engages in war on multiple fronts since October 2023, it serves as an opportunity to show the world “the combat-proven performance of Israeli systems on all battlefields,” creating strong international demand for Israeli defense technology, the ministry said.
The ministry also said that 36 percent of defense contracts were awarded to Europe, followed by Asia Pacific with 32 percent, Middle East and North Africa with 15 percent and North America with 13 percent.
