Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jhenaidah. Mahfuz Afzal has been recalled. He is said to have been attached to the police headquarters.
Thursday (June 4) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Mahfuz Afzal was recalled by an order signed by Ali Hussain Faqi.
According to the order, Mahfuz Afzal will report to the police headquarters by June 5 after assigning responsibility to the senior officer of the district police. The order did not specify the reason for his withdrawal.
According to police sources, Md joined Jhenaidah as SP in the first week of December last year. Mahfuz Afzal. During his tenure in the district, there were two political murders, clashes due to social differences and an attack on NCP leader Naseeruddin Patwari. Besides, on Thursday, one person died in a mob thrashing on charges of attempted rape.
