Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md said this in a briefing on Thursday (June 4) afternoon about the investigation report on the death of 6 newborns in the hospital. Sakhawat Hossain.

He said, “According to the existing law, action will be taken in this regard. A decision will be taken by Sunday.”

The investigation committee formed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare submitted its report on Wednesday to investigate the death of 6 newborns at Ad-Deen Hospital. The committee formed by the health department submitted its report on Thursday. Then at 4 pm, the Health and Family Welfare Minister spoke to the media.

The health minister said, “Many times the defendant gets an opportunity to take advantage of the case without autopsy. But in this case, there will not be that opportunity.”

“Some party may try to take advantage of the post-mortem report in the death of six newborns. But it is a very sensitive matter and the matter will be taken seriously in the judicial process,” the minister said.

He commented, “The reality is that six newborns died due to total negligence. They will not get any benefit in this case, nor will they get any relief from this crime.”
