Three passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed after being hit by a bus in Salanga

Three passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed after being hit by a bus in Sirajganj's Salanga. One person was injured in this incident.

The accident happened on Tuesday (May 26) around 6:30 pm in front of the RAB-12 office of the upazila on the Dhaka-Rajshahi highway.

Two of the dead have been identified. They are – Autorickshaw driver Sorman Hossain (35) of Sharif Salanga village under Salanga police station and Govind Sutradhar (40), son of deceased Harendra Nath Sutradhar of Angaru village.

Ismail Hossain, OC of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station, said, “A passenger bus from Dhaka to Rajshahi reached the Kandipara Bridge next to the RAB-12 office and ran away after hitting an autorickshaw going from Hatikumrul to Solanga. The autorickshaw overturned, killing three passengers including the driver on the spot; one was injured. The body was recovered with the help of the fire service and the autorickshaw was seized.” done.”
