US President Donald Trump has ordered petrol sellers to cut prices immediately. He warned that if this instruction is not followed, he will face ‘big problems’. On Tuesday (June 30), Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information.
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that gasoline sellers should immediately reduce prices. No excuses will be accepted in this case. He said, if the retailers do not do that, then big problems are waiting for them. Start with the goal of bringing the price down to about $2.50 per gallon.
He further said that retailers must respond quickly to this call and take necessary steps immediately. You must lower the price of your products for the sake of our great American people. Al Jazeera reported that California was specifically targeted in Trump’s post. He urged the state to reduce the tax on petrol.
Trump wrote, “Very soon, the amount of taxes will be higher than the value of the goods.” The United States will never accept this, and neither will the people of California. They are suffering because of these unreasonable taxes and policies of their own government.
