Legal notice to MP seeking name of Tk 50 crore bribe offerer


Member of Parliament for Kushtia 3 Constituency Amir Hamza received an offer of Tk 50 crore to close the medical college and hospital in Kushtia. Following this, Hriday Hasan, son of Shafi Molla of Sonapur Nawapara village of Kushtia Sadar Upazila, sent a legal notice signed on the pad of Kushtia Judge Court Advocate Alhaj¦ Md. Abdul Majeed today for publication of the offer of Tk 50 crore in the names of individuals. There is a lot of discussion about this issue on social media.
What is mentioned in the legal notice This legal notice is to inform you on behalf of my client that you are a member of parliament and an Islamic speaker. You know that with the aim of realizing the dream of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman, the Prime Minister of the current government, Mr. Tariq Rahman, is working tirelessly with a strong commitment to create a beautiful Bangladesh free from terrorism, extortion, bribery and corruption. But a few days after your election, you have said in public at different places that “Kushtia has received a bribe offer of 50 crore rupees in just 3 days to close the medical college, but you accept it. In this regard, through legal notice, Advocate Abdul Majeed said that a legal notice has been sent to Mufti Amir Hamza, Member of Parliament of three constituencies of Kushtia, to reveal the names of the persons who offered bribes of Tk 50 crore immediately.
In this regard, the MP of Kushtia 3 Constituency, Mufti Amir Hamza MP, did not answer the phone call, so it was not possible to get his statement.
