3 lakh 72 thousand 388 liters of fuel oil stored illegally was recovered during the operation of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources across the country.
These fuels were recovered in the process of mobile court conducted from March 3 to April 1 to ensure proper management of fuel oil.
According to the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, diesel accounted for the largest amount of fuel recovered. The amount of which is 2 lakh 71 thousand 374 liters.
Apart from this, 30 thousand 960 liters of octane and 70 thousand 54 liters of petrol were recovered in the operation.
According to the Energy Department, such operations have been strengthened to prevent illegal stockpiling, smuggling and artificial crisis in supply.
They said strict action is being taken against law violators through regular monitoring and mobile courts.
The department also said that these activities will continue to maintain the normal supply of fuel in the market and protect the interests of consumers.
