Law Minister Md expressed satisfaction with the verdict of child rape and murder case in Pallavi. Asaduzzaman. His hope is that this judgment will be upheld even if it reaches the High Court.
Responding to the case to reporters at the secretariat on Sunday (June 7), he said, “It was possible to complete the trial of such a painful incident in practically six working days by completing each step. This is the first time in the history of Bangladesh.”
The minister also said, “We are satisfied with this trial, this sentence for the time being. Hopefully, even if it goes to the High Court, the verdict will be effective.”
On the morning of May 19, Ramisa's dead body was recovered in a bloody and dismembered state from a room in a flat next to their house in Mirpur-11 area of ​​Pallabir.
The day after the incident, Abdul Hannan Mollah, the father of the deceased child filed a case at Pallabi police station and the police arrested Sohel Rana and his wife.
After 19 days of the incident, the Dhaka Metropolitan Child Violence Prevention Tribunal sentenced the accused Sohail Rana and his wife Sapna Akhtar to death.
