Railway officials are working to rescue the derailed train.


Work is underway to rescue three coaches of the derailed oil train at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah. As a result, although 9 hours have passed since the accident, railway communication between Khulna and Rajshahi in North Bengal has been stopped.

Kotchandpur Railway Station Master Nayan Hossain informed this information.

Three coaches of an oil train derailed near Safdarpur railway station in Kotchandpur around 6 am on Sunday (June 7). As of writing this report at 3 pm, work is going on to rescue the train.

Kotchandpur station master Nayan Hossain said that the Parbatipur-bound oil train from Khulna reached Safdarpur station around 6 am. At this time, the rear three coaches of the train derailed. As a result, rail traffic between Khulna and Rajshahi in North Bengal was stopped. A rescue train has arrived from Khulna and is carrying out rescue work. He said that this work will still take time.

On May 21, another carriage of a freight train derailed in the same area.
