Two children died with symptoms of measles

In Bangladesh, 2 more children have died due to measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1 thousand 324 people were newly infected.

This information was informed in the press release sent from the control room of the Department of Health on Sunday (May 31).

According to the circular, the total number of suspected measles patients in the country from March 15 to May 31 has reached 70,936.

Meanwhile, 53 confirmed measles patients have been identified in the last 24 hours. So far the total number of confirmed measles patients has increased to 9 thousand 49.

According to the information of the Department of Health, from March 15 to May 31, 56 thousand 886 people were admitted to the hospital with measles symptoms. At the same time, 52 thousand 841 people have recovered and got discharge from the hospital.

The notification also said that so far a total of 495 people have died due to measles and symptoms of measles. So far, 90 people have definitely died of measles.
