On the first day of remittance campaign of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and Western Union, Hamida Begum, a customer of Gogai sub-branch in Tangail, and Anup Kumar, a customer of Gulshan Corporate branch in Dhaka, received gear bi-cycles. Brunei Darussalam expatriate Zahid Shikder and American citizen Sarah Sabrina received the award following remittances. Md. Altaf Hussain, Managing Director (Acting) of the Bank was present as the chief guest at the digital raffle draw held at Islami Bank Tower on Monday, May 4, 2026. The bank’s Deputy Managing Director Md. Rafiqul Islam, Senior Vice President Md. Abul Hasan, Foreign Remittance Services Division Head Md. Motahar Hossain Molla, Overseas Banking Division Head Md. Shahadat Hossain and representatives of Western Union were present.
In this campaign, a total of 34 gear bi-cycles are being given away twice every banking working day through a digital raffle draw among cash remittance recipients through Western Union. Besides, remittance customers get a wall clock as a guaranteed gift. This campaign will continue till 31 May 2026.
