Quarterly Business Development Conference of 9 Zones and 4 Corporate Branches of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC was held on April 8, 2026 at the Bank’s Head Office.
In the conference, the activities of the bank for the month of January-March 2026 were reviewed. Managing Director of the bank Md. Omar Farooq Khan presided over the conference. In the event, additional managing director of the bank Md. Altaf Hussain, Mohammad Jamal Uddin Majumdar and Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Jasim, senior executives of head office including Deputy Managing Directors, Zonal Heads of 9 Zones and Heads of 4 Corporate Branches were present.
The managing director of the bank, Md. Omar Farooq Khan, said in the president’s speech that Islami Bank’s two slogans at the time of its establishment were Islamic Shari’ah-based management and the promoter of welfare-oriented banking, which are still serving as the main beacon of our path. He instructed to expand business including import-export and deliver technology-based remittance services to people’s doorsteps and above all to play more role in economic development of the country.
