26 activists of the banned Awami League arrested


The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 26 activists of the banned Awami League and its affiliates in raids in various areas of the capital. They were arrested in separate raids on Monday.


DMP informed this information in a press release on Tuesday. It is said that Ramna police station 2 people, Dhanmondi police station 10 people, Bangshal police station 1 person, Khilkhet police station 2 people, Kadmatli police station 1 person, Mohammadpur police station 8 people, Mirpur police station 1 person and Turag police station 1 person.


According to the notification, 26 members of the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations were arrested in the operation of eight police stations of the capital. Such operations will continue to maintain public safety and law and order situation. Legal action has been taken against those arrested.
