BNP has decided to increase organizational activities to speed up party activities. For this purpose, all levels of units including party organs and affiliated organizations have been instructed to be active and strengthen the activities.
This decision was taken at the National Standing Committee meeting held at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office on Saturday (July 11) night. Party Chairman and Prime Minister Tariq Rahman presided over the meeting.
It is said in the notification that the meeting also discussed about the various levels of local government elections. At this time, the party units were called upon to strengthen their organizational activities. At the same time, it was decided to organize a meeting of the National Executive Committee as soon as possible and the responsibility of taking necessary measures in this regard was given to the Secretary General.
In the meeting, the Secretary General informed the members about the implementation of the decisions taken in the previous meeting.
Besides, the implementation of the priority projects of the current BNP government was discussed. Satisfaction was expressed over the progress of various projects including Family Card, Farmer Card, Canal Digging Programme, Allowance Scheme for Mosque Imams, Muezzins, Temple Priests, Church Fathers and Buddhist Temple Services.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of the party’s election manifesto. Prime Minister’s initiative in implementing the manifesto is highly appreciated and hopes are expressed that the goals mentioned in the manifesto will be achieved within the stipulated time.
The meeting condemned the opposition party’s efforts to mislead the people about the July charter and referendum. It was decided to strengthen the program of clearly presenting the party’s position to the people and directed the concerned individuals and institutions to take necessary steps.
The results of the 2026 National Assembly elections were also discussed in the meeting. Standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan was given the responsibility to prepare a full report on this.
