US President Donald Trump has rekindled an old feud with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Trump posted an edited photo on Truth Social on Sunday. The film suggests that Melony is overly interested in him. Trump wrote: ‘Sanctions needed.’ Trump made a claim last week that sparked the Trump-Maloney feud. During the recent G7 summit, Meloni repeatedly requested a photo with Trump. Meloni rejected Trump’s claim as completely fabricated and said, “Italy and I never beg.” Meloni said, ‘I am not anti-American today; I didn’t even kneel down yesterday. I am a person who believes that the West is stronger when it is united, who believes that Italy is stronger in a united Western world, that’s what I have worked for and continue to do.’ ‘However, good relationships are based on sociability and easy behavior, and I am a sociable person,’ Meloni told Italy’s Rete 4 television, according to Italian news agency Adonchronos. The controversy prompted Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani to cancel a planned visit to Washington. TimesBD/ rabbi
