Attempt to sell young girl to sex village, arrested 3

Police have arrested three people for trying to sell a young woman in Faridpur's Rathkhola sex village with the promise of better employment and marriage. They were sent to jail by the court on Friday (May 22) afternoon.

According to the police and case report, the victim's house is in Bogra district. He used to work in a garment factory with his mother in Dhamrai, Dhaka. There he met three people named Monir Sheikh (30), Alam Fakir (20) and Munni (20). The accused lived in a rented house in Dhamrai area.

The victim said that the accused initially lured her into a love trap by luring her with good jobs and marriage. Then on May 14, he was taken to a rented house in Shivrampur area of ​​Faridpur city. After being detained there for some time, he was taken to Rathkhola Sex Village for sale on the morning of 21 May.

When the girl refused to go inside after realizing the matter, the accused started forcing her. At one point, the young woman ran away screaming and took refuge in a shop in front. On hearing his screams, the people around rushed to arrest the three accused and informed the police.

The police reached the spot and rescued the girl and took the three people into custody. According to the police, two others named Tanya and Dukhu are involved in this gang. They are currently absconding.

Faridpur Kotwali police station officer in-charge (OC) Mahmudul Hasan said that a regular case has been registered at the police station. The arrested three accused have been sent to court. Police operations are continuing to arrest others involved in the incident.
