The United States attacked Iran for the ninth consecutive day. The country’s attack caused power outages in some areas of southwestern Iran.

Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency quoted a local official as saying that the US had struck an area in the southwestern Iranian city of Khormoz. The attack resulted in power outage in parts of Khormoz, the administrative center of Dashti County in Bushehr province. A series of explosions were heard in different areas.
In the ninth consecutive attack by the US forces, explosions occurred in several cities in Iran, including Sirik, Jask, Tabriz and Chabahar. Three soldiers have been killed in the last two days of the US military. The attack was intensified on Monday. In addition, the ongoing conflict over the control of the Strait of Hormuz has led to the collapse of the cease-fire agreement between Tehran and Washington a month ago.
The US military said in a statement that the latest strikes were aimed at “depleting Iran’s military capabilities used to attack commercial ships and sailors transiting the Strait of Hormuz.”
Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB reported that several explosions were heard in the port cities of Mahshahr and Imam Khomeini in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
It also reported that explosions occurred near the cities of Sirik and Jask in Iran’s southern coastal Hormozgan province and Khvormuz city in Bushehr province.
Three explosions were heard near the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz, the IRIB said. Meanwhile, the semi-official Fars news agency reported that air defenses were activated in the southeastern cities of Konarak and Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchistan province.
Al Jazeera’s Tohid Asadi reported from the Iranian capital, Tehran, that the latest US strikes have once again targeted Iran’s southern coast. He said that if the explosion in Tabriz is confirmed, it would be the first attack on the northwestern city since the recent escalation of tensions. In response, the Iranian side is also talking about retaliatory attacks.
According to Iranian media, new missiles have been fired from Lorestan province targeting US military installations across the region.
