Trump said that no final decision has been made yet on launching a major military operation against Iran. However, discussions on the matter are continuing and necessary preparations have been made.
In response to a question from journalists, he said that no final decision has been taken on the attack so far. At the same time, he noted that talks between the US and Iran are ongoing and, in his observation, Tehran is becoming more serious about talks with time. He commented that why such a change has come is also clear to many.
Earlier, the US media Axios reported in a report that the Trump administration is seriously considering the possibility of launching a new military campaign against Iran. Trump claimed that such an operation could be bigger than ‘Operation Epic Fury’.
He also said that a major military action was under consideration and a decision had been reached. He claimed that all necessary preparations have been completed.
However, two US officials told Axios that no final decision has been made yet. Also, no new military instructions were issued. Trump also did not specify a specific time frame for announcing a possible decision.
