The grass flower was the symbol of the Trinamool Congress which made its debut in 1998 under Mamata Banerjee. Then in the last few years, Trinamool Congress turned into Mahiruh by Mamata's hand. They were also in the ruling power of West Bengal for the last 15 years. But within a month of defeat in the 2026 elections, grass will dry up. Councillors, Chairman, Panchayat members resigned one after another. Trinamool Congress internal conflict and anger has come to light. Another grass root has been formed by breaking the grassroots. Ritabrata Banerjee has become the new Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, defying the choice of party leader Mamata. Mamata, whose hand held the origin of Trinamool, today is called upon to remain as a mentor. But the question is, who is responsible for this condition of the party? Mamata or her nephew Abhishek Banerjee?
Most of the rebel leaders are saying, “The party built by Mamata is no longer in her hands. Over time, the leadership of the party has passed from Mamata's hands to Abhishek. After that, it has turned into a corporate party. In particular, Abhishek Banerjee has called the polling agency 'IPAC' and played the bell. As a result, although Mamata Banerjee is accepted as the leader, Abhishek They do not respect Banerjee as a leader.
Directly targeting Abhishek, Malda Trinamool leader and former minister Krishnandu Narayan Chowdhury said, “I feel great sadness today. Abhishek ended the party built by Mamata Banerjee bit by bit.”
He alleged that since Abhishek Banerjee joined the party, the people-oriented character of Trinamool has changed. A new culture has been imported into the team by cornering old workers.
In Krishnandubabu's words, “Corporate culture and mafia culture have also been brought into this party. As a result, there is no such thing as party ideology.” Krishnendu advised Abhishek to immediately leave the country and go abroad.
Kakali Ghosh Dastidar has been with Trinamool since 1998. Kakli, the party's Barasat Member of Parliament at present, opined, “I have been with the party for a long time. I think, if Mamata Banerjee pulls the reins of the party again, she will definitely get the results she wants.”
He is also of the opinion that this disaster of the party is due to the organization called AIPAC, the polling agency of the Trinamool. At the same time, he raised questions about corruption in the party, bad behavior and arrogance among the leaders.
The leader of opposition in the state has already clarified that Abhishek Banerjee has nothing to do with the 18th West Bengal Legislative Assembly. 80 MLAs were elected under Trinamool Congress symbol. Among them, 60 MLAs think that they are the main opposition party.
It is clear from Ritabrata's comments that their intention is to gradually cut off Abhishek from the grassroots.
Former Trinamool MLA and Aam Janata Development Party MLA and Chairman Humayun Kabir has opened up about the breakdown of Trinamool.
Humayun said on Thursday, “If a party's supreme leader leaves power in the hands of others, that is what happens. Mamata has lost the election today. If she had won the polls and led, no one would have opened their mouths.”
But even in this turbulent situation, PC Mamata is by the side of nephew Abhishek.
